Hello, my name is Kieran Stringfellow and I am an independent filmmaker.
For the past three years I have been studying the craft of film both in its practical and theoretical forms at Falmouth University, where I have specialised as a writer/director and editor. I am a filmmaker who prioritises story and character above all else. I choose to make a film because of flawed, conflicted characters, captivating narratives and the ability to manipulate an audiences emotions. With the various elements of the cinematic language, I believe there is no better medium to tell stories.
Outside of filmmaking I naturally enjoy cinema in its many varieties and regularly visit my local theatre. I am very interested in urban and lower class culture and the art, fashion and design that emerges from the reality of these environments. I'm very much interested in all areas of art such as photography, design and illustration, anything that can inspire and inform my own work.
